Needle Nook Fabrics began in Wichita in 1969 by Mary Loveland. In 1984 Ruth Phillips (aka mom) and Anne St Clair purchased the store. Since that time, the store that started as just Lingerie fabrics and findings was expanded to carry all types of stretch fabrics. In 1994 Ruth retired and left Anne to continue the business. In 1997 Anne released her first pattern for Bras. Over the next few years she continued to research and learn more about bra making and fitting. An additional bra pattern was added in 2004 for a larger range of sizing. Throughout the last 14 years she has added additional patterns as well as a book on bra construction and modifications and booklets on design changes to a basic knit top pattern. The most sought after booklet is her method on adjusting a commercial pattern to fit any body titled Ditch the Muslin".
While we always carry a wide selection of lingerie fabrics and solids, many of our fashion fabrics are purchased in small lots of 10-20 yards so our inventory changes frequently. At present, we only have a limited number of our fabrics available on-line; however, check back often as we will be adding to this daily until we have everything in our brick and mortar store available on-line. If there is a certain fabric you want, please call us and we will see if we have it. Also, because colors vary from monitor to monitor, if the color is critical, please request a swatch before ordering yardage.
